A young woman from Obinna Okwodu Linkedin, has established a new property rental platform called Fibre. The firm aims to make it easier for tenants to find suitable rental homes in Lagos. Obinna, who holds a dual degree in Civil Engineering and Management Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, was formerly an Investment Banking analyst at Morgan Stanley in New York. She was named one of Forbes’ 30 Most Promising Young Entrepreneurs in Africa.

Obinna Okwodu, a native of the United States, was educated at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) before moving to Nigeria. While working in the US, she realised that housing affordability in Lagos was not the easiest. Seeing many of her friends return to the US or the UK after renting a Lagos apartment, she decided to do something about it. She founded Fibre, an online rental platform that enables middle-income residents to pay rent monthly.
